Hope Blooms, run by Charlotte MacArthur, is a florist with a difference - her mission being to transform leftover flowers into beautiful bouquets for churches & organisations to share with vulnerable and isolated people in Southampton, flowing from belief that beauty is essential in life.

This desire to support and care for people’s wellbeing, along with the unique business model of repurposing leftover flowers to reduce waste, gives Hope Blooms the opportunity for significant impact in the community. It’s yet another example of the amazing community spirit & cooperation seen right across the city in serving those in need.

Charlotte says: “Offering someone something beautiful gives them dignity, it goes beyond meeting people’s basic needs. We want people to know they are valued and seen. And it’s a beautiful opportunity to reduce waste at the same time!”

Deliveries are currently being made every Thursday, with particular support from 5 local churches & Caraway in distributing the bouquets and providing the other goodies that make up the care packages. As regular deliveries continue, the opportunity for relational connection and support is evident as those receiving the deliveries are met with the same friendly faces each week, and genuine care and affection is shown through weekly conversation and support.

Charlotte says: “Your donation will go towards all the extras, necessary in transforming these flowers into extra special gift wrapped bouquets for people who are isolated and lonely. These flowers are delivered to people who may go days without seeing people. Let them know they are cared for!”
